About The Service
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a committed individual with excellent customer service skills to join our East Hub team based in Llanrumney and Rumney Hub. The hubs provide a professional front line advice service to customers on Housing Benefit & the Council Tax Reduction scheme, Housing including the Welfare Reform Act and a wide range of council services including library provision.
About the job
You will have experience of working with customers, preferably on a face to face basis with a commitment to providing high quality customer service.
To provide a professional, high quality, customer focuses face to face service.
To advise on Housing Benefit, Council Tax, Welfare Benefit, Money advice, Welfare Reform, Housing Enquiries, Homeless prevention and a wide range of general Council services, resolving enquiries at the first point of contact wherever possible.
To assist in the delivery of a full Library service and participate in the delivery of Hub/Library events.
Engage with partners to maximise the use of the hub to include supporting and arranging events & encouraging tenant participation.
What We Are Looking For From You
You will have good communication and IT skills and the ability to resolve disputes in a positive and constructive manner. You will work well in a team and will be required to be flexible, particularly in relation to location of work which may vary.
Knowledge of other languages would be an advantage.

This post is temporary until 31st March 2027.
