This post is located at Llanishen Fach Primary School. School crossing patrol officers are greatly valued by the communities they serve, we are recruiting for some very important sites where they provide the only controlled crossing facility for children and adults.
About the job
The role involves arriving promptly for duty, come rain or shine, during term time to stop traffic so that pedestrians can cross. You will need to use the uniform and sign in accordance with the regulations and you will be fully trained and supported in those responsibilities.
What We Are Looking For From You
In this role you are the public face of the Council and so you will need good communication skills and a professional attitude towards both pedestrians and drivers. This role is part-time at 15 hours per week, 39 weeks per year. The advertised salary is based on a full-time role (37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year). The actual salary will be lower than the advertised salary because of the part-time hours and weeks worked.
Appointment to this post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, including a Child Workforce Barred List check.
This post is temporary until 20/07/2028.
