As well as building homes again, Cardiff Council is enabling other providers to increase the number of affordable homes to meet significant demand. We need the right people to ensure all our aspirations are delivered. This is an exciting time to join the Housing Development section, and we are currently recruiting a Housing Enabling Officer to join our team, who can work with a wide range of partners to maximise opportunities to deliver affordable housing.
About the job
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Enabling Team in the delivery of a wide range of various housing development and strategic housing projects and policies to address housing need in Cardiff. You will work closely with our wide range of internal and external partners, in supporting and maximising the provision of affordable housing across the City.
What We Are Looking For From You
The successful candidate will have a track record of working in a social housing environment, with excellent communication and negotiation skills. You will have experience of working in partnership with other organisations as well as a good knowledge of the Welsh Government’s legislation and procedures on the development of affordable housing.
