About The Service
Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) are increasingly used to solve today’s transport problems within Smart Cities. These systems apply new information and communication technology to maximize the efficiency and safety of the transportation network. The Highway Electrical Team implements and manages these assets, which includes: CCTV, Bus Priority, Real Time Information, Dynamic Signing / Strategic Management, ANPR, Rising Bollards, Traffic Signal Junction and Pedestrian Crossings and Street Lighting within Cardiff.

Training will be provided in the form of specialist courses and on the job.
This is an opportunity to join the rapidly expanding sector of ITS and applications will be considered from applicants who either have previous experience or can demonstrate how their current skills and knowledge can be transferred and expanded into this post
What We Are Looking For From You
As a Technical Officer your role will be to work as a member of a team committed to managing and maintaining these assets.
You will need a flexible approach to work and possess the ability to evaluate information and identify solutions.
