About The Service

Cardiff Council's Adult Services Commissioning Team have a key role in the purchasing of services and the overall management and monitoring of the services that support adults with Social Care needs, across the Social Services function. Social Services currently purchases approximately £140 million of external services for the citizens of Cardiff.

The key priorities of the Service are:

To provide the highest quality of social services possible
• To integrate health and social services
• Breaking down the barriers, joining up services in the Community and across the Council
• Provide value for money for the Council and the residents of Cardiff as much as possible.
The post holder will contribute to the provision of an effective business and administrative service within Adult Service’s Contracts and Commissioning Team in accordance with the Council’s policies, business support processes and procedures.

About the job

The Commissioning Administrative Assistant will work within the Adult Services Contracts and Commissioning Team.

The role will be responsible for:
• Providing a reception service to the Contracts and Commissioning Team and maintain business support systems in respect of telephone messages, word processing, databases, registers, correspondence, minute taking, photocopying, filing and stationary supplies.
• Support the team to delivering commissioning priorities and projects across the specialist functions
• Support the administration of quality assurance and performance management systems for commissioned services

We are looking for an individual who is committed to delivering exceptional public services in Cardiff.
The ability to speak other languages, in particular Welsh, and Community Languages would be an advantage.
