About The Service

Cardiff Council is a local government organisation responsible for delivering over 700 different services to our citizens, visitors, and businesses across Cardiff

Our Advice Line team is looking to employ 7 Trainees based at Central Library Hub, The Hayes CF10 1FL as well as the potential for homeworking. 

Our Advice Line is the first point of contact for many of our Advice Services such as Money Advice, IntoWork, Adult Learning and Council Enquires. The service is extremely busy and fast paced.   

About the job

The role will be to support the Advice Services which have expanded to assist with over 350 calls a day during the last year. You will be the first point of contact for the Advice services and you will be required to decide which department a best fits the client as well as providing basic advice.

We are looking for hard working individuals who have great customer service skills, we are looking for individuals that are able to work together as part of a team as well as on your own.

These posts are suitable for job share.

You will be required to work on a rota basis to include Saturdays and evening: shifts will be variable according to needs of the service. The location of work may vary.
