This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated, highly driven and enthusiastic applicant with demonstrable experience of managing capital programmes, that are in place to effectively maintain and improve Cardiff Councils housing stock.
About the job
The successful applicant will be required to have excellent numeracy skills, taking responsibility for the asset management of the council’s stock, including the management of the asset team, ensuring that accurate details of capital are maintained for the Councils owned dwellings and predicting the need for future works.
The successful applicant will take the strategic lead on how the Council will decarbonise its current housing stock.
There is a requirement to liaise closely with key stakeholders, particularly Welsh Government to fully understand new building requirements and access all funding available to support any changes.
What We Are Looking For From You
We are looking for a highly motivated individual to oversee large scale procurement projects, ensuring appropriate due diligence and value for money.
You will have proven experience in managing and controlling substantial budgets, a good knowledge and understanding of procurement processes and the ability to communicate well whilst working with stakeholders at senior level, including local elected members and Welsh / Central government.
