This vacancy is only available to employees of Cardiff Council including Cardiffworks and Agency Workers currently engaged with the Council.
Cardiff Cleaning & Support Services is an operational team within the Economic Development Directorate. The Team provides cleaning resources to c.150 Council buildings including Schools, Core Administration buildings, Social Care buildings, Libraries, Community Hub’s, Operational Depots, Arts and tourism venues. The Team also provides Staff ID cards to staff working from County Hall.
About This Job
The primary purpose of the role is to provide an efficient and effective administrative support service to the Cleaning and Support Services Team. The post is responsible for: co-ordinating and certifying the development and maintenance of management information; taking ownership of the equipment and stores inventories to ensure effective and efficient control of the service’s assets; analysing a range of performance data and producing reports for managers; providing an efficient and effective first point of contact to internal/external customers, and working collaboratively with colleagues across the service to ensure effective service delivery.
What We Are Looking For From You
We are looking for a motivated individual with:
- Experience of providing administration services in a customer focused service environment;
- Experience of processing orders and invoices;
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both written and verbally;
- Good IT skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Windows applications, and
- Good organisational skills with an ability to plan and prioritise work.
