About The Service

The Performance and Partnerships Service is responsible for a wide range of significant corporate functions which support the Council as a whole, and its public service partners.

It is responsible for supporting the Council to deliver its ambitious agenda by translating political priorities into organisational objectives and monitoring the progress of these objectives with a focus on effective delivery, performance analysis, and providing insight on how the Council can improve.

Based within the People and Communities Directorate, this will be an opportunity to work as part of a talented and dedicated team on a range of public policy issues.

About the job

This is an exciting Cabinet Support Officer role within the Cabinet Office team.
You will provide a comprehensive personal assistance and administrative support to Cabinet Members, working as part of a small team to provide high level, effective support in all aspects of Cabinet Member duties.

The role involves working with a wide range of Council Officers and Directorates and you will experience the fast paced nature of working for Cardiff Council’s Cabinet first hand.

What We Are Looking For From You

We are looking for an individual with a good working knowledge of Council Directorates, with the ability to use a range of Microsoft office packages.

You will have experience of successfully working with Elected Members/Senior Politicians and Senior Officers, managing complex diaries and providing comprehensive administrative support, including the management of all aspects of correspondence.

You will be organised and able to manage your workload with the ability to efficiently multitask.

You will have excellent written and oral communication skills, with political sensitivity and awareness being essential.
