About The Service

We currently have a vacancy for a Care and Wellbeing Assistant within our Cardiff Care Hubs, delivering a service that provides support to adults living with Dementia. People are supported by the service to access a wide range of day opportunities within a care setting.

About the job

The successful applicant will work as part of an established team supporting adults living with dementia to access daytime opportunities. The role requires the post holder to attend to the personal care & support needs of users of the day centre, to ensure their physical and emotional well-being needs are met; along with delivering & supporting participation in social & recreational activities.

What We Are Looking For From You

Ideally, you will have experience of working with older people with dementia.
You should hold or be willing to train and achieve the QCF 2 level required for the post, along with undertaking relevant designated training courses. You will need to be flexible, and have a positive & happy attitude; weekend working will be required on a rota basis.

You will have excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
