An exciting opportunity has become available at Cardiff Council and we are recruiting two CareFirst/Eclipse Trainer/Assistant Systems Administrators to work with the CareFirst/Eclipse Team.

The roles will support Children’s Services as we upgrade our case management software from CareFirst to Eclipse.  This will include training staff in both CareFirst and, moving forward, Eclipse and assisting in the maintenance of the databases that support both systems.

About the job

Eclipse case management software will replace CareFirst which has been the case management software for Social Services in Cardiff Council for a number of years.

These roles will provide training through a number of mediums, e.g. e-Learning, virtual and face to face sessions with individuals and in groups.  They will also provide system administration support to assist with the maintenance of both CareFirst and Eclipse. The role also includes dealing with calls from end users, contributing to data cleansing of CareFirst and supporting the upgrade to Eclipse.

What We Are Looking For From You

We are looking for a highly organised, ‘can do’ individual with excellent interpersonal skills, a passion for training and helping others achieve their goals along with an interest in upgrading software within a Social Care setting.

You will need to work effectively as part of a team, be flexible and adaptable in your approach to your role to meet the needs of the directorate and contribute to the development of the CareFirst/Eclipse Team’s role, functionality and expertise.

These posts are temporary until March 2023.
