About The Service

An exciting opportunity has arisen with Housing & Communities Directorate, for a Change Development & Implementation Manager, based within the Change, Development & Implementation Team. The successful candidate will manage, monitor and control the work of the team ensuring the service areas targets are met.

 

This post is temporary for 12 months to cover maternity leave.

 

The Change, Development & Implementation Team are responsible for delivering the Council’s policies and procedures for each section within Housing & Communities.  The team also lead on change projects for the Directorate. 

 

The postholder will also manage Training & Mentoring, the team are responsible for the training of all new staff and the development of existing staff throughout Housing & Communities. The team train several stakeholders including Registered Social Landlords and other organisations including other Local Authorities in Wales.

About the job

The postholder will be responsible for the development and implementation of Housing Strategies, Policies, Procedures and Training.  You will take a lead role in managing change and development and delivering change management for the Housing Section, including the training and development of staff.

What We Are Looking For From You

The postholder will have experience of working within a housing related environment with a strong emphasis on dealing with policies and procedures. You will also be able to work to rapidly changing deadlines, short timescales and be extremely flexible.  You will have experience of working with IT systems, the ability to work as part of a team and good communication skills.

The right individual will have the vision to identify future opportunities for service improvement. You should have a desire to work in a fast-paced team environment and work collaboratively with colleagues.


You must have good organisational skills, with a committed to meeting the service area’s objectives.

Additional information

The post is temporary until 30th November 2024.
