About The Service
Cardiff is the first city in Wales to participate in Unicef UK’s national ‘Child Friendly Cities’ initiative. Our ambition is for Cardiff to be recognised as a Child Friendly City: a city with children and young people at its heart, where the rights of children and young people are respected by all, a great place to grow up.
Cardiff Council launched its Child Friendly Cardiff Strategy in 2018, and we are actively working with schools and wider partners across the city to make rights a reality for all children and young people.
Caerdydd yw’r ddinas gyntaf yng Nghymru i gymryd rhan yn y fenter genedlaethol ‘Dinasoedd sy’n Dda i Blant’ gan Unicef UK. Ein huchelgais yw i Gaerdydd gael ei hadnabod fel Dinas sy’n Dda i Blant: dinas â phobl ifanc wrth ei gwraidd, lle mae hawliau plant a phobl ifanc yn cael eu parchu, ac lle sy’n wych i gael eich magu.
Lansiodd Cyngor Caerdydd ei Strategaeth Caerdydd sy'n Dda i Blant yn 2018, ac rydym wrthi'n gweithio gydag ysgolion a phartneriaid ehangach ledled y ddinas i wireddu hawliau pob plentyn a pherson ifanc.
