About The Service

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a committed individual within the Housing & Communities Building Improvement Unit, Compliance Team, for a Compliance Assessor.

The Compliance Team carry out Fire Risk Assessments, asbestos inspections, health & safety site inspection on domestic properties, communal areas and Operational Buildings within the Housing Portfolio.

About the job

You will be required to undertake fire risk and asbestos inspections assessments on communal areas of domestic flats, statutory compliance reviews on Operational Buildings, Health & Safety inspection on site and complete the necessary reports.

The post-holder will be required to provide comprehensive verbal and written responses to enquiries from internal departments and external organisations.

What We Are Looking For From You

Knowledge and experience of Fire, Asbestos, Health and Safety, completing and analysing reports to ensure all information received meets current regulations and legislation. 

You will have experience of providing excellent customer service, work well in a team and have a flexible approach. You will have exceptional communication and IT skills and the ability to resolve disputes in a positive and constructive manner.

You will be required to give guidance and support to other internal departments and customers on Health & Safety queries.
