Our Early Help Team are looking to appoint 3 x Corporate Apprentice (Level 2) Creche Assistants. Early Help is a collection of innovative and progressive services for children, young people and families, within the directorate of Adults, Housing and Communities in Cardiff Council. In Cardiff we believe that every child and young person should have the opportunity to reach their full potential. We recognise that outcomes for children are best when they are supported to grow and achieve within their own families and community, as families understand their own children.
The Early Help Team has a multi-agency approach which seeks to reduce the number of children, young people and families requiring statutory services provided by Social Services and make prevention everybody’s business. Our aim is to build resilience in children and families so that they have the capacity to overcome their own difficulties for the remainder of their lives.
This position will be based at Various locations across Cardiff, including Cardiff Council run Flying Start childcare provision at Twinklestars and Shirenewton

About the job
As an Apprentice Creche Assistant with Cardiff Early Help you will learn to assist in the delivery of quality crèche provision for children whose parents are attending Parenting Programmes with Cardiff Parenting Services.
You will also have the opportunity to assist in the provision of quality care and play opportunities for children aged 2 to 3 years across two excellent Flying Start Childcare settings.
This post is term time only (35 hours per week) with great career and development opportunities if successful you will undertake a Children’s Care, Play, Learning & Development (CCPLD) Level 2 Apprenticeship qualification as part of the role, which is a universally recognised qualification
Full training will be provided and our warm and welcoming team will help and encourage you to develop in the role . You will receive supervision and on the job training and will have a named mentor to support you to deliver an excellent programme of fun, engaging, child focused activities. for children in
As a Cardiff Early Help corporate Apprentice you will have access to our workforce development training planner packed with learning opportunities to help support your career progression.

Whilst we cannot guarantee that the appointed candidate will go on to secure a further role at the end of this initial contract, they will be supported and encouraged to take advantage of the many opportunities available within our organisation, in order to progress their career.
