Salary: EAI Spinal Points 5 - 8 plus 3 SPA (£42,168 - £50,158 per annum)

Through school, employer, community and higher and further education partnerships, the Cardiff Curriculum team looks to open up opportunities which create ambition, deliver skills and support progression the progression of the Four Purposes of Curriculum for Wales.

The Cardiff Curriculum team is looking for a Curriculum Achievement Officer whose role will have a focus on support Cardiff schools in realising the aspiration of the One Planet Cardiff strategy by drawing upon the resources of the city and developing partnerships between schools and key stakeholders. The post holder will provide advice, guidance, training and consultancy to all Cardiff schools to develop contextualised curricula.

We want you to work with Cardiff schools to realise the 'One Planet Cardiff' agenda, by drawing upon the resources of the city to provide high quality, authentic learning experiences for pupils. To support the development of strategic partnerships between the local education authority, schools, employers, higher education and wider partners, to enable added value in curriculum development in all areas of learning. To enable a focus upon the development of knowledge, skills and experience in areas of learning that are closely aligned to economic growth sectors in the Cardiff Capital Region. To ensure the meaningful participation of children and young people in all programmes of work. To promote inclusive practices and ensure equity of access to the opportunities created for all learners.

To support the realisation of the ambitions and goals of the Cardiff 2030 vision for a capital city of learning & opportunity.

We are looking to recruit a person that has experience of or is willing to learn quickly how to engage with teachers and pupils and to support them to develop knowledge, skills and experiences with partners on behalf of their pupils. 

But more importantly we want to recruit someone who is able to develop a network of partners that can support schools to deliver excellent opportunities for children and young people that encourage ambition, develop skills and supports the progression of the Four Purposes of Curriculum for Wales.
