About The Service

We currently a vacancy for a Day Care Manager within our Cardiff Day Centres, delivering a service that provides support to adults living with Dementia. People are supported by the service to access a wide range of day opportunities within a care setting.

About the job

The successful applicant will work as part of an established team supporting adults living with dementia to access daytime opportunities. The role requires the post holder to oversee & manage the quality of care & support needs of users of the day centre, to ensure their physical and emotional well-being needs are met; along with delivering & supporting participation in social & recreational activities.

Working closely with Cardiff & Vale UHB staff to deliver an integrated model of dementia care across the service

What We Are Looking For From You

Ideally, you will have experience of working with older people living with dementia & experience of staff management / supervision;
Have a willingness to deliver and develop new model ideas of older peoples day services;

You will need to be flexible, and have a positive & happy attitude, along with the ability to engage, encourage and support staff.

You will have excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

This post requires a full & valid driving licence & a Disclosure and Barring Service Enhanced checks.

This post is temporary until 31st March 2022.
