An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Highways Operations Maintenance Team for a Sewage and Drainage Operative.
About the job
The core function of this front line role is to keep Council owned sewers clear from blockages by undertaking routine planned and reactive cleaning operations to ensure that the sewers are flushed/emptied and are cleared of deposits, debris and obstructions.
You will also deal with a variety of other drainage related problems associated with land drainage, pumping stations and assist with the maintenance and cleansing of highway water sewers too.
What We Are Looking For From You
- Numerate and literate to GCSE standard or equivalent.
- Must have experience of dealing with general public and good communication skills.
- Full valid driving licence.
- A category C1 licence, or a willingness to obtain a C1 licence.
