About The Service

CARDIFF INTERNATIONAL WHITE WATER (CIWW) OFFERS THRILL, PLEASURE AND FAMILY FUN SEEKERS AN OUTLET TO ENJOY A WIDE RANGE OF ON-SITE AND OFF-SITE ACTIVITIES, ALL YEAR-ROUND.

Located in the heart of the International Sports Village in Cardiff, CIWW is home to the UK’s very first on-demand Olympic standard White Water Rafting and Indoor Wave facility.

Offering white water and flat water fun for all, Cardiff International White Water the perfect place to take up a challenge, seek adventure or simply indulge in pure excitement. Whether you choose to stay on-site, or feed your need for adrenaline with one of our popular off-site activities such as Gorge Walking, we can guarantee you an unforgettable day out.

White Water Course - Our 250m white water course is designed for rafts, canoes and kayaks, AND pumps up to 16 cubic metres of water per second - that’s equivalent to 80 bath tubs! We can alter the flow and water level of the course to cater for beginners to experts.

Indoor Wave - CIWW is home to an Indoor Wave simulator machine called Flow Rider®, that enables you to ride jets of water using a bodyboard. The double lane design allows two people to bodyboard at the same time, meaning that friends and family can show off their skills together.

Family Friendly - Keep kids and teens energised and engaged throughout the year with our vast array of family friendly activities available both on and off the water. Let them learn a new skill, challenge themselves, get active and most importantly, make memories!

Get A Taste For It - Improving your water skills and perfecting your technique will ultimately make you a better paddler and take the enjoyment of your chosen watersport to new heights. As a recognised centre of excellence for training, we provide courses from our popular Paddle School to the acclaimed Duke of Edinburgh Awards. Our Paddle Taster Sessions are also a great way to see if an activity ‘floats your boat’, before you commit to a course booking.

Water Rescue - If you're looking to boost your water rescue training, access and confined space training or first aid skills, then you’ll be pleased to know we are an accredited professional training provider offering a range of internationally recognised courses. Head over to our dedicated professional microsite for more detailed information.
