An exciting opportunity has arisen for committed individuals with excellent customer service skills to join the team at Cathays Heritage Library.

 

About the job

Cathays Branch and Heritage Library provides library services offering a wide variety of books and computer access. We also provide access to the Cardiff Heritage and Local Studies Collection, where you can view historic documents, maps and photographs.

Weekend and evening working will be required on a rota basis and location of work may vary.

What We Are Looking For From You

The successful candidates will assist in the delivery of a full Library service, along with carrying out general office duties including using digital systems & supporting events held within Cathays, Community Hubs & Libraries

You will be required to support customers using our services to resolve enquiries and to provide customer focused delivery of Hub & Library services and information provision.

You will have experience of providing excellent customer service, work well in a team and have a flexible approach.

You will have exceptional communication and IT skills and the ability to resolve enquiries in a positive and constructive manner.

The ability to speak other languages, in particular Welsh, and Community Languages would be an advantage.

 

Additional information

This post is part time and will work 18.5 hours per week. The salary shown however relates to 37 hours per week and will therefore be pro-rata’d accordingly.

This salary is subject to the Living Wage Supplement that tops up the basic rate of pay to £12.00 per hour. The supplement will be reviewed every April. Cardiff Council reserves the right to make any changes to, or removal of, the Living Wage Supplement.
