About The Service

The Community Resource team (CRT) are part of Cardiff Councils Independent Living Services (ILS). It is a joint service provided by Cardiff Council and Cardiff and Vale University Health Board that aims to support adults, through therapy and/ or home care, to recover or maintain their ability to live independently at home and connected to their communities.

The service aims to encourage and support people to learn or re-learn skills necessary for daily living, following a period of illness or after a stay in hospital. The reablement support provided by the CRT will help our citizens discover what they are capable of and give them the confidence to do things independently

About the job

To provide admin business support to assist with the smooth running of CRT Home Care services, working in partnership across Health and Social Care.

To deal with enquiries from within the service and use own initiative to resolve matters by using own initiative and the support of your colleagues in your team. Keeping all records and database systems up to date.

What We Are Looking For From You

You will need to be a motivated and flexible individual comfortable working under pressure. You will be able to communicate well, dealing with enquiries from colleagues and members of the public whether they are face to face, online or via phone and prioritise your work to meet deadlines. You will have strong customer service skills.
You will need to work methodically, keeping computerised records and databases up to date inline with current policies and procedures.

There are two temporary posts for 32 hours and 37 hours until 31st March 2023.

Requests may only be approved by the relevant Director/ Assistant Director/ Chief Officer or senior nominated officer graded no lower than OM2 or in the case of schools-based staff the Headteacher / Governing Body.
