About The Service
Cardiff Council Adult Social Services are looking for a full time Higher Clerical Assistant to support the Mental Health for Older People team; this is a multi-disciplinary service which offers support to service users over the age of 64 who suffer from mental health conditions.
About the job
The successful applicant will work independently answering phone calls from service users, family members, care providers and other agencies. You will provide administrative support to the team, covering a wide range of duties including overseeing the team mailbox, maintaining E Files, SAP orders and payment of invoices, minute taking, database management, updating and maintain registers and provide general administrative support to social workers and managers.
What We Are Looking For From You
The successful candidate will be flexible, able to use their initiative and be computer literate with experience in Microsoft Office applications. Social Services is a constantly changing environment, so the ability to learn and adapt quickly is essential. You may be required to provide support to other social work teams within Cardiff, so you must be open to new opportunities and have a positive approach. The ability to speak other languages, in particular Welsh, and Community Languages would be an advantage.
