About The Service

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a committed individual with excellent customer care skills to join our North Hub team based in Penylan Library.

Our team support customers using Hubs & Libraries to resolve advice enquiries, provide customer focused delivery of Hub & Library services and information provision.

About the job

To assist in the delivery of a full Library service and participate in the delivery of Hub / Library events.

The job requires the provision of a professional, high quality customer focused face-to-face service.

To advise on a wide range of general Council services; resolving enquiries at the first point of contact wherever possible.

What We Are Looking For From You

The job will require expert knowledge on Library provision. You will liase with other partners and advice agencies to ensure a fully accessible co-ordinated service is provided.

You will have experience of working with customers, preferably on a face-to-face basis with a commitment to providing high quality customer service. You will have a good communication and IT skills and the ability to resolve disputes in a positive and constructive manner.

Additional information

Weekend and evening working will be required on a rota basis and the location may vary.

We welcome applications in both English and Welsh. Applications received in Welsh will not be treated less favourably than English applications.

The ability to speak other languages, in particular Welsh would be an advantage.

This post is part time and will work 18.5 hours per week.
