An exciting opportunity has arisen for a committed individual to join our Advice Training team. We provide training, quality checking and advice on Welfare Benefits, Money Advice, Customer Service and Housing for customer facing teams.
About the job
Working within the Advice Section of the Adults, Housing and Communities department, the Mentor will be responsible for supporting members of staff and carrying out relevant quality checks. You will independently develop work processes and procedures, creating and maintaining these on various IT systems. The post holder will be expected to answer complex queries in all areas that we cover, being able to simplify legislation for Welfare Benefits and Housing. You will need to prepare and present one to one and small group training sessions.
What We Are Looking For From You
The successful candidate will have an in-depth knowledge of welfare benefits, money advice and housing, together with experience of supporting others and providing informal training and advice. You will need to be able to work independently delivering training courses in person and via Teams, have excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
