As Head of Communications and Media, you will lead a talented team responsible for delivering innovative and engaging communication strategies. You’ll oversee press relations, public affairs, digital content and staff engagement and communications, while ensuring that Cardiff Council’s messaging aligns with its values and priorities.
What We Are Looking For From You
We’re looking for a strategic thinker with exceptional leadership skills and a deep understanding of communications and media. The ideal candidate will have:
• Proven experience in a senior communications role.
• Strong knowledge of media relations, public affairs, and crisis communications.
• Excellent leadership abilities with experience managing teams and large-scale campaigns.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
• A passion for public service and a commitment to Cardiff’s communities.
