This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated, highly driven and enthusiastic applicant with demonstrable experience of managing Libraries and Health & Wellbeing community projects that are dedicated to improving the health of Cardiff’s communities.

About the job

The successful applicant will be required to work around the Age Friendly and Dementia Friendly cities programmes , the health engagement of Ethnic minority communities, toilet strategy, HIV testing and collaborate with the Health Board, Public Health Wales and other partners to carry out targeted activity to reduce health inequalities across the city including development of bespoke websites i.e. Dementia Friendly

What We Are Looking For From You

You will be used to engaging with communities, working with internal and external stakeholders developing initiatives around health & wellbeing including unpaid carers and have excellent communication and relationship building skills.

You will be responsible for all aspects of Library programmes, be results orientated, using your initiative to make decisions about the general direction and focus of your work and solve problems when they arise.

You will be required to also manage a team of diverse community health focused officers, collating data and evidence for a variety of audiences translating it into effective policy & advice
