About The Service

Customer and Digital Services are part of the Resources Directorate. The service is home to the council’s contact centre C2C who handle phone calls, web chats, social media contact and online forms from the public on behalf of other council services. The service sets the council’s customer service standards and rolls out training to all areas of the council to raise and maintain excellent customer service levels for all customers.

The service is also home to ICT and wider digital services teams who lead on the council’s digital agenda driving forward new and innovative ways of working internally and across the city to support all residents and customers. The service is responsible for the council’s corporate website www.cardiff.gov.uk, the Cardiff Gov app and the virtual assistant (chat bot).

About the job

Developing and maintaining customer focused and accessible web design across a variety of platforms using HTML, CSS and JavaScript.

This position will be predominantly home-based with some office time required fortnightly.

A good team player with a positive attitude who can hit the ground running on a number of digital projects.

You must be well-organised, punctual and a self-starter.

We are looking for someone with a keen eye for detail who takes pride in their work.
