About The Service
Homeless Prevention officers provide assistance, and the Council’s corporate duty to help young clients who are homeless or under threat of becoming homeless. The service provides assistance to often vulnerable people when they are at greatest need.
About the job
The Prevention officer will complete homeless assessments for clients aged 16 to 21. The post holder will provide a bespoke service to young people working closely with the Llamau and other agencies to ensure the correct help and support is provided and help them find and move into new accommodation through innovative solutions.
What We Are Looking For From You
The post holder will need to have; team-working skills, the ability to produce innovative solutions and be forward-thinking to help develop the service. The post holder will be required to provide excellent outcomes for vulnerable clients and high-quality customer service.
Experience of homeless legislation and working with the public will be an advantage. You may be required to work until 19:00 hours to meet the demands of a very busy service.

This post is temporary until 31st March 2024.
