This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded and enthusiastic Surveyor to work within the Council’s Strategic Estates team to assist in the delivery of the Council’s Estate Strategy.

To lead a team of surveyors to undertake valuations, negotiations for acquisition and disposal, management and administration of property for the Councils Strategic Estate.
What We Are Looking For From You
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. To lead a team of surveyors on a day to day operational basis, prioritising and allocating case work, and coordinating and managing the professional work of their Team.
2. To undertake, at the direction of the Strategic Estates Manager, all aspects of general
Property management for the Council.
3. To provide valuation and commercial, advice in connection with a wide range of property uses and matters. Including; property acquisition, disposal, leasing and management.
4. To manage budgets and work in creative and commercial ways to consider ways to maximise revenue and capital.
5. To participate actively in supporting the principles and practice of equal opportunity as laid down in the organisation's Equal Opportunities Policy.
6. To take reasonable care for the health and safety of yourself and other persons who may be affected by your acts and omissions and to comply with all health and safety legislation as appropriate.
7. As part of your duties you may be required to undertake such other duties and/or times of work as may reasonably be required of you, commensurate with your grade or general level of responsibility within the organisation, at your initial place of work or based at any other establishment.
