About The Service
An exciting vacancy has arisen for a Senior Care & Wellbeing Officer to work within our Community Hubs and Care hubs, delivering a respite service that provides support to adults living with early onset Dementia. Support is provided for service users to access a wide range of day opportunities within a supervised care setting.
About the job
The successful applicant will work as part of an established team supporting adults living with early onset dementia to access daytime opportunities within a community venue. The role requires the post holder to oversee the quality of care & support to ensure service users physical and emotional well-being needs are met; along with delivering & supporting participation in social & recreational activities.
What We Are Looking For From You
Ideally, you will have experience of working with older people living with early onset dementia and those with old age related illness. Experience of staff supervision.
You should hold or be working towards the QCF care level 2 for the post, along with the willingness to undertake relevant designated training courses.
You will need to be flexible as this post involves service delivery within citywide locations, and have a positive & happy attitude, along with the ability to engage, encourage and support staff.
You will have excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
