About The Service

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Cardiff’s Internal Supported Living Service as it embarks on a programme of improvement and modernisation.

Wales’s vibrant capital city offers you the opportunity to work within the largest and most diverse community in Wales. Our small Supported Living Service currently supports 18 individuals and offers excellent professional development opportunities for managers and staff.

You will join a team that is committed to encouraging and enabling supported individuals to be independent and enjoy community life, where interactions between supported individuals and staff are warm and positive with a focus on strength-based working, Positive Behaviour Support and the achievement of excellent personal outcomes.

As a Senior Support Worker for the service, you will have access to a comprehensive range of resources and support to continue your professional development and to help you become the best Senior Support Worker you can be.

About the job

You will have a commitment to working in a strength-based way, using Positive Behaviour Support to enable supported individuals to achieve what matters to them.
You will have an understanding of the regulatory requirements that govern the delivery of a registered Supported Living service, a dedication to working in an outcome-focussed way and a keen interest in your on-going professional development and that of the staff you will supervise, striving for excellence.

You will be committed to working in a way that promotes equality and inclusion for supported individuals and staff.

A Diploma in Leadership in Health & Social Care and registration with Social Care Wales are essential for this role.
