About The Service
This post includes a £3,000 market supplement in addition to the listed salary.
Our Learning Disabilities teams are part of the directorate of Adults, Housing & Communities in Cardiff Council.
As a directorate we recognise that social workers are skilled professionals who make a real and material difference to people’s lives every day. We have two learning disabilities teams that cover the east and west of Cardiff. Our staff work alongside a specialist health team and offer multi-disciplinary support to local people. We support individuals to access a wide range of services with a focus on inclusion and supporting people to meet their outcomes. This is an exciting time to join a service that actively promotes best practice and supports strength-based working with its practitioners. An independent audit in March 2020 advised us we have areas of national good practice and we are keen to build on these and develop further high quality local opportunities to meet people’s outcomes as we recover from the pandemic.
Cardiff is a fantastic place to live and work. Cardiff stands proud as the capital of, and largest city in, Wales. It has a distinctive character with an excellent quality of life and an international reputation for its wide range of cultural, sporting and family attractions. Cardiff was recently voted Europe's 'third best' capital city to live in by the European Union survey and it is clear to see why. Is the time right for you to work in the capital city of Wales with its vibrant and diverse communities and range of different working experiences? We would love to hear from you.
