This post includes a £3000 market supplement pro rata in addition to the listed salary and an AMHP allowance of £2800 pro rata where applicable.
We are seeking a registered Social Worker to join our multi-disciplinary Community Mental Health team in the Links Community Mental Health team, Adamsdown, Cardiff.
Working within Adult Services in a multi-disciplinary Community Mental Health Team offers practitioners diverse, fast paced and interesting work as you would expect in a capital city. The Links Centre is situated in the heart of a multi-cultural community and is a large, dynamic team dealing with individuals presenting with a wide range of mental health conditions, their carers and families.
About the job
This is a permanent position for 37 hours per week.
You will need to have a Degree in Social Work or equivalent. A comprehensive understanding of the relevant legislation is essential along with experience of working with people with mental health difficulties. Previous experience of working within a mental health setting is preferable but not essential. Ideally you will be an Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) for which an AMHP payment is applicable or willing to undertake training for the AMHP role as part of your continuing professional development.
You will be confident at assessing the needs of citizens and their carers and be familiar with the requirements of the Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Act 2014 and the Mental Health (Wales) Measure 2010.You will also be able to undertake risk assessments and develop associated care plans and risk management plans. You should be prepared to undertake appropriate training and be able to work under pressure.

• You will want to work in the capital city of Wales in Services where we support each other and work together with other colleagues, professionals and organisations.
