The successful candidate will work within our service area and develop a variety of workplace skills, knowledge and experience in our Responsive Repairs Unit and Void Section as well developing knowledge and understanding of the work and responsibilities of working in Local Government in Cardiff. We are looking for a Painting & Decorating Apprentice who will be employed on a 3 year fixed term contract and will undertake a Level 3 Apprenticeship qualification in Construction - Painting & Decorating.

The successful applicant will work as part of a team to deliver a first-class service. As a Painting & Decorating Apprentice we will help and encourage you to develop skills that will support you with your future career. You will be encouraged to take on a wide range of jobs. You will receive supervision, on the job training and support from an experienced Tradesperson within the team, who will help you to develop.
What We Are Looking For From You
As a Painting & Decorating Apprentice you will be developing your skills to provide efficient support in a positive, customer focused manner.
You should show a willingness to learn and be comfortable in a learning environment. You will attend Barry college 1 day a week to complete the relevant qualification in your trade and be expected to complete this within the correct timescales.
