An exciting opportunity has arisen for a committed individual to join the Adult Services Social Care Training and Development Team based within County Hall, Cardiff.

In line with the Social Services and Wellbeing (Wales) Act 2014, the Social Care Training and Development Team is committed to the continuous development and encouragement of its staff to reach their full potential so that they feel empowered with the necessary skills, knowledge, and confidence to provide our citizens with the best possible collaborative, person-centred care and support.

About the job

The successful applicant will work alongside colleagues providing training to Cardiff Council staff and the wider social care sector delivering health and safety training (primarily the Manual Handling of People and First Aid). Additional training may need to be provided if identified through the training needs analysis.

What We Are Looking For From You

We are looking for somebody who has experience of working within the social care sector with a recognised, relevant health and social care qualification at a minimum of level 3 or equivalent. The successful candidate will be committed to putting our citizens at the heart of the work that we do and will enjoy working within a fast paced, dynamic team. We are looking for someone who is committed to their own learning and development and is willing to undertake further training opportunities when identified.
The ability to speak other languages, in particular Welsh, and Community Languages would be an advantage.
