An exciting opportunity has arisen for a committed individual with a successful track record. We deliver an exciting range of adult community learning courses across Cardiff. Learning for Life courses offer the opportunity for adults to continue learning in relaxed friendly classes, take up new interests, make friends and keep active.

About the job

We are looking for a suitably qualified tutor to teach 2 x 2-hour Gardening for Beginners classes (Tuesday 10.00 am – 12.00 pm and Wednesday 10.00 am – 12.00 pm) over 3 x 10-week terms. There may also be an opportunity to deliver a monthly class on Saturday mornings (9 individual sessions from 9am – 2pm).

Evening and weekend working may be required.

We may also wish to deliver additional short evening or weekend classes or vary the Programme to suit learner needs.

The post will be based in venues across Cardiff.

What We Are Looking For From You

You will:

  • Have experience of providing excellent customer service
  • Have experience of supporting learners
  • Be able to work well in a team
  • Be adaptable and have a flexible approach
  • Possess exceptional communication skills

The ability to speak other languages, in particular Welsh, and Community Languages would be an advantage.

Additional information

This role is part-time at 4 hours per week, 30 weeks per year. The advertised salary is based on a full-time role (37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year). The actual salary will be lower than the advertised salary because of the part-time hours and weeks worked.
