About The Service

The Local Action Team function is to improve neighbourhoods by creating better, cleaner and safer places to live for residents. The Team work with residents within the community to develop a good relationship and encourage community engagement when dealing with the upkeep of the local areas. The team is looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated Local Action Assistant Operative.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

About the job

The role includes working within the community to ensure the neighbourhoods are well maintained by keeping our estates clean, tidy and free from litter, graffiti and fly tipping.  You will assist the Land Action Operative with the clearance of properties, gardens and communal areas utilising appropriate plant and equipment as necessary.

What We Are Looking For From You

The successful applicant will be required to drive a Council 3.5 tonne tipper vehicle when the need arises, therefore you will be required to a hold a full vaild driving licence. You will be a confident and self-motivated individual with a can do attitude willing to learn and develop new skills.

Additional information

This salary is subject to the Living Wage supplement, which brings pay rates up to £9.90 per hour (scp 1-3). This supplement will be reviewed in April 2023 and thereafter annually in April.  Cardiff Council reserves the right to make any changes to, or removal of, the Living Wage supplement.
