This is an exciting time to join the Council’s Development and Regeneration team. We are working hard to help shape the delivery of regeneration schemes across the city and increase investment within our local communities.

We are focused on improving our local and district shopping centres and delivering the ‘15 minute city’ agenda throughout our communities. We are delivering regeneration projects across our housing estates, increasing and improving community facilities and Hub provision and are working collaboratively with partners such as Cardiff & Vale Health Board and Welsh Government to maximise funding opportunities and deliver projects that make a real difference to people in the city.

Due to the increasing range of exciting projects and programmes to be taken forward, we are recruiting an assistant regeneration officer to help support the design and delivery our extensive work programmes. We need the right people with relevant experience and who share our passion for engaging with our communities to join our team and help deliver our aspirations.

About the job

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Regeneration Officer to join the Regeneration Team. We are looking for a motivated and committed person to help deliver our schemes with the aim of bringing positive change to our communities.

The successful candidate will deliver alley gating and environmental improvement schemes, carrying out investigations and resident consultations, as well as engaging with other services and partner organisations.  Support in the planning and implementation of regeneration schemes across the team will also be required.

What We Are Looking For From You

You should have experience of working in a project support role (preferably in housing or regeneration), possess good communication and customer care skills and be well organised.  You should be able to work on your own initiative and have a high level of competency with IT packages.  You will be committed to partnership working and have a genuine desire to make a difference in local communities.
