About The Service

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a committed individual to assist with the implementation of corporate digital initiatives such as SharePoint Online.

You will be part of the Digital Delivery Team who work within Customer and Digital Services and work with Service Areas to develop and deliver digital products that benefit the organisation and our customers.

About the job

Your role will be to assist in the roll out of SharePoint to Service Areas across the Council. You will be required to analyse and review data and business processes to make improvements in those areas. You will be working with teams during their implementation, preparing them as they move away from shared drives to SharePoint online.

You will be working with Service Areas to identify which data should be migrated, eliminate outdated or duplicated data and ensuring that the appropriate retention schedules are set. You will be central to the co-ordination of activities during this process.

Whilst the focus of this role is to support the migration of data to SharePoint online, when required you will also be involved with the wider Digital Delivery Team on projects that support Cardiff’s Digital Strategy.

What We Are Looking For From You

The successful candidate will have an in-depth knowledge and experience of working with cloud-based tools such as SharePoint Online and the wider Office 365 suite of products.

You will have the ability to develop and maintain productive working relationships with a wide range of teams and stakeholders. 

We’re looking for individuals with a professional manner, proven organisational skills, excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex information in plain language to reach a wide audience.

You will have a sound understanding of delivering digital projects and an ability to prioritise workloads to produce work of a consistently high standard.

This role is pivotal in the implementation of digital services and initiatives throughout the Council and contributes in shaping the way in which services are delivered.

This position is a hybrid role. You will be working remotely for day-to-day tasks, collaborate with individuals and teams online, and participate in virtual meetings. You will also be required to attend in-person meetings, workshops and events when required. You will be required to collaborate with the wider team and other Service Areas in both County Hall and offices around the city. There is also access to an office in County Hall which can be used as required.
