An exciting opportunity has arisen for a committed individual with excellent interpersonal and communication skills to join our Finance Services Team in Adults, Housing and Communities.
 

About the job

The role will be based in Adult Services Finance Team, within Finance Services, managing the Domiciliary Team. The Domiciliary Team are responsible for Contracting with our care providers, writing to our service users and arranging invoices for charging for care and the administration and communication that sits alongside that work. Managing a Team of 8 staff.

We currently operate a hybrid working model from County Hall in Cardiff Bay and spend a day or two per week in the office and the rest of the week working from home.

What We Are Looking For From You

You will perform a key role in coordinating and developing the finance team during a time of significant strategic change, so an ability to manage change in a positive way and be flexible are essential attributes required for this post. You must have worked in a supervisory position for 1 year and had financial work and staff management experience.

You must be able to produce clear written material and be an effective oral communicator, have experience and knowledge of information systems and the use of Information Technology in an office setting, demonstrate an ability to solve problems and be committed to meeting customer needs. It is essential that you are able to demonstrate a good understanding of promotion of effective teamwork; staff management and motivation; group work; service quality; and recruitment, selection and induction practices.
