An exciting opportunity has arisen within Human Resource People Services (HRPS), for a Business Support Officer (BSO). Reporting to the Lead MIO (LMIO), the purpose of the role is to produce meaningful analytics and systems configuration, which will support the HR Business Plan and inform management and their decisions.
About the job
The successful candidate will undertake activities to improve management information data, systems capability improvement and will spend a majority of their time controlling the integrity of data held within the Council’s HRPS systems.
Alongside the LMIO, the post holder will develop a data-led approach by understanding organisational needs, translating them into efficient and accurate data outputs and the execution statutory and HR reporting. You will work in an environment where interaction with a variety of colleagues within HRPS and liaising with Directorates is essential.
What We Are Looking For From You
The ideal candidate will therefore require strong data manipulation skills, be articulate, self-motivated and results driven. The candidate will have excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office application, in particular, advanced MS Excel skills.
This post offers the opportunity for someone who is looking to use their expert systems, MI knowledge, strong analytical and communication skills to ensure accurate and timely data is produced for key Council projects.

This post is Temporary until 3rd October 2023 to cover the maternity leave of the substantive post holder.
