About The Service

There are currently 5 Full time Temporary (2 Years) vacancies for a Caretaking Trainee’s within the Caretaking Service. 

Working hours between 07.30am – 15.30pm Monday to Thursday and 07.30am – 15.00am on Fridays

About the job

The successful candidates will be responsible for helping and training to provide a high-quality Block cleaning/Hostel Cleaning/Rubbish Clearance/Graffiti Removal and Jet-Spraying services to communal areas within council blocks of flats, hostels or Housing Land. Candidates will be flexible to rotate between all areas of the service whilst learning and gaining experience in all areas

What We Are Looking For From You

A relevant professional qualification in cleaning/clearance is not required as training in this area will be given. But any experience of working within a domestic or commercial cleaning environment and using industrial cleaning or garden clearance equipment would be an advantage.

Candidates must hold a full driving license and must be able to drive, further assessment will be provided to drive a council vehicle.

The successful candidate will need to be flexible in order to meet the changing requirements of the service and be committed to meeting the customer needs.
