About The Service
This vacancy is only available to employees of Cardiff Council including Cardiff Works and Agency Workers currently engaged with the Council.
The Education Catering Service provides school meals to 120 schools across the City delivering in excess of 22,000 meals a day.
The team of approximately 350 school based kitchen staff are managed by a central operational team of 10 staff.
The Service is a fully traded receiving income directly from parents or from the LA for the provision of Free School Meals to eligible pupils. The Service has an annual turnover in excess of £10m.

Following a restructure of the Education Catering operations team the following vacancies are open to experienced and enthusiastic candidates who want to lead a successful team delivering in excess of 22,00 meals every day in 120 schools across the City.
- Business Manager – Education Catering – Grade 10
- Catering Manager – Support – Grade 9
- Catering Manager – Operations – Grade 9
What We Are Looking For From You
A working knowledge of education catering, experience of working in a LA environment and good people management skills.
