A rare opportunity has arisen for a grade 5 Civil Enforcement Officer within the Civil Enforcement Team.
About the job
The post holder(s) will be responsible for:
Patrolling areas where on-street and off-street parking is in operation across the city
Working in inclement weather
Driving the Mobile Enforcement Vehicle (Camera Car)
Identifying instances of parking in contravention and issuing Penalty Charge Notices in accordance with the operating practices within the Enforcement Officers Manual
Ensuring the upkeep of appropriate records in accordance with the legislation and operating practices within the Enforcement Officers Manual
Liaising with colleagues and other teams within the enforcement group as appropriate to ensure effective delivery of the enforcement operation
Contributing to best value by working in an efficient, effective, and economic way, and to suggest and implement ways of working whenever possible.

The successful candidate will be:
A motivated, ‘can do’ individual with excellent interpersonal skills, customer service skills, and experience working under pressure.
Able to work effectively as part of a team, be flexible and adaptable to meet the needs of the service.

Additional information
This post is full time and will work 37 hours per week on a shift rota giving rise to periodic unsociable hours, weekend and Bank Holiday working. The salary is £27,269 to £31,067 per annum + 10% Shift Allowance and enhancements - time plus a half for any Weekend Work and time plus one third Night Allowance for hours worked after 8pm on a Weekday.
A full valid driving licence and Standard DBS check is required, in addition to successfully achieving the City & Guilds Civil Enforcement Officer qualification.
