About the job
The new Climate Emergency Manager post will take a central role in the delivery of our One Planet Cardiff strategy, developing and implementing key policies and projects that contribute to the Council’s ambition to be Carbon Neutral by 2030.
What We Are Looking For From You
The post will be busy and varied, covering a diverse range of work areas encompassing renewable energy, energy retrofit, and other low carbon projects across the Councils wide remit. The successful candidate will be qualified in a relevant Environmental Science, Land Use or Engineering field and will be able to demonstrate robust programme management and project delivery skills. A proven track record of delivery that includes policy development, project management, procurement, contract delivery, commercial negotiation and carbon accountancy will also be desirable.
