Cardiff Council has an ambitious and leading strategy to drive the delivery of a net zero Capital city of Wales. Working across the Council there is a network of staff enabling and supporting the delivery of the Council’s One Planet Strategy. This network is very busy delivering renewable energy schemes, heat networks, energy efficiency retrofit, active travel initiatives, transport decarbonisation, working with schools, the Local Development Plan and so much more.
About the job
You will lead the co-ordination and programme management of the One Planet Cardiff Strategy. Your role will be vital to monitoring, supporting and understanding the broad range of projects and actions being delivered as part of the One Planet Cardiff strategy. You will also take on responsibility for the successful delivery of some specific projects and contracts relate to the strategy.
What We Are Looking For From You
You will be an experienced programme manager with a good understanding of, and passion for, delivering Net Zero. You should have good contract management experience and excellent communication skills with an aptitude for getting behind the data to challenge assumptions. You will need to be a climate change advocate with the ability engage with a range of stakeholders including senior leaders and service area managers.
