About The Service

The Cohesion Officer will support the delivery of a range of cutting-edge initiatives to support delivery of the Welsh Government’s National Community Cohesion Strategy and Delivery Plan within Cardiff, working on diverse and complex issues including;

  • The inclusion of refugees and asylum seekers
  • Engagement with EU national communities
  • Working with communities experiencing rapid change and socioeconomic exclusion
  • Building resilience to extremist narratives through dialogue and social contact.

About the job

The Cohesion Officer role is an exciting opportunity to work with communities to help bring about social change and improve quality of life and wellbeing in Cardiff, creating a fairer and more equal city for all our residents.

You will work with individuals, families and whole communities, acting as a link between neighbourhoods and a range of local authority services, public sector partners and voluntary sector providers.

The post holder will work closely with colleagues across the city to support and empower Cardiff’s residents through the delivery of a range of innovative projects to support communities to build resilience and solutions to social issues.
