About The Service

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a committed individual with excellent customer care skills to join our Into Work Advice Service Team.

Into Work Advice Service provides employment support for people across Cardiff. We have many bespoke projects specifically aimed at 16-24 year olds, giving them the advice, guidance and support required to successfully transition into employment or training.

About the job

The postholder will work on our Bright Futures Project, which offers employment support to looked after and care experienced 16-24 year olds across Cardiff.

The Project will target unemployed and economically inactive young people to help them overcome complex barriers to employment.

We are looking for someone who is able to demonstrate an understanding of the issues faced by young people seeking sustained employment; and possess the ability to help them gain employment.

What We Are Looking For From You

You will have experience of working with young people on a face-to-face basis and a commitment to providing a high quality customer service. You will have good communication and IT skills, and the ability to resolve disputes in a positive and constructive manner.

You will work well in a team, have excellent communication skills and have a flexible approach.

You will understand the issues young people may have; and will have a caring and empathetic approach when providing employment support.

Evening and/or weekend working may be required.

Additional information

This role is temporary until 31/03/2026.
