About the job
As a member of a dynamic team, reporting to the Conservation and Community Development Manager you will engage with local communities and volunteers in supporting the promotion and management of the natural environment within parks and open spaces, nature reserves and woodlands and working with partner organisations to deliver community focussed outdoor environmental activities.
The post will be based at Forest Farm Conservation Centre, but will involve working across the city.
You will need to have a full driving licence and a vehicle will be provided.
What We Are Looking For From You
You will need to be driven, flexible and adaptable in what will be a challenging role where priorities can change quickly. You will need experience of working in an environmental field in an outdoor environment. You will need to be confident in engaging with people from a wide range of backgrounds, be able to able to lead events, environmental education and other conservation activities in all weathers.
You will also require excellent organisational skills, and an ability to communicate with people at all levels. You must be IT literate. Above all, you must have a “can-do” attitude, be able to solve problems under your own initiative, and be able to initiate and prioritise your own work to react to the demands of the team.

This post is temporary until 31st March 2025.

Owing to the nature of the role, the post-holder will be required to work a shift pattern including evenings and weekends as required.
