Cardiff’s Community Safety function sits alongside the authority’s Cohesion and Engagement and PREVENT teams, which in turn are part of the Communities Directorate, ensuring close working links with all other services vital to ensuring safe communities.
About the job
To provide high quality policy development, support to governance structures, advice and operational delivery in relation to community safety priorities for the city and assist in the development and implementation of collaborative partnership working.
What We Are Looking For From You
The position will work across Council service areas and closely with our partners in Police, Fire, Health and community services on some of the most complex and challenging issues facing our citizens and communities, including tackling knife crime and serious organised crime, reducing street homelessness and rough sleeping, and developing a new locality approach to tacking crime and anti-social behaviour in some of our city’s most deprived communities.
Additional information
National Security Counter Terrorism Clearance (CTC) and Level 2 Vetting (SC standard) will be required.
